Just get a portable multipurpose cooker and you can bring it anywhere you go, plug it in at your home, your friend's home, your work office, the subway station, wherever life takes you, and you can have yourself all the finest luxuries which you indulged in back in your homeland (i.e., pizza, cake, bread, etc.).

Things like stir fries, curries, stews, spaghetti sauces, hash browns, scrambled eggs, steak, french fries,chilli can all be cooked easily on a gas burner.
