The ticket price for the new Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Rail Service which is currently undergoing its trial period before ostensibly opening in summer, has come under public spotlight. According to staff in related departments, a one-way ticket will cost around 600 RMB, about the same as a discounted flight between the cities. However, the official ticket prices have not been announced yet.
