Two mean have been found guilty of forging documents for unqualified expats who wanted to teach English in China.

In a Tongzhou court on Monday, 32-tear-old Xia, an employee of a high-end Beijing kindergarten, and 35-year-old Wang, who worked at an agency that prepares documents for overseas teachers, admitted to colluding in the crime.

In exchange for fake embassy certificates, Xia paid Wang 16,600 RMB.

Wang used Photoshop and a fake seal bought on Taobao to forge the documents.

However, despite the pair's best efforts, the documents were detected as fakes by the State Administration of Foreign Expert Affairs.

Xia and Wang were arrested in August, and this week given eight-month suspended sentences.

The two foreign teachers have returned to their respective countries of Serbia and Ukraine, while the Kindergarten has been told to improve its recruitment practices.
