Plum Garden sits just south of Dragon Hill, on the north shores of Taihu Lake. It has been planted with over 40 varieties of blossoming plum trees, which bloom dramatically in winter and early spring.
The gardens are dotted with pavilions, pagodas and tea-houses and a museum of ''Plum Culture'' which explains the significance of plum blossom to China and educates visitors about the natural history of plum blossoms
