This museum concentrates on collecting and exhibiting traditional folk art of the Jianxi area. It particularly concentrates on the Gan people, and includes artifacts, documentation of Gan customs and traditions and also maintaining their historical records. It also aims to maintain the traditional art of the Gan people, such as folk embroidery and Jiangxi paper cutting.
