Bashu sits surrounded on all sides by areas of historical and cultural interest. To the south is Xianglong Palace, named after the ancient Chinese belief that the "sky is round and the earth is square". To the north rests Yinfeng Temple, one building of which has been converted into a small market. The bottom level sells locally produced candy and snacks, the second floor sells reproductions of famous calligraphy & painting, bamboo sculptures, silk embroidery, jewelry & jade articles, ancient musical instruments, and traditional theatrical face paints. To the east is the "Hall of Folk Theatre", housing a waterwheel exhibit, hand-made oil pressings, indigenous paper making, pottery making, shoes made of woven hemp, and other folk arts. Take the kids for a family-friendly, hands-on experience.
Dear Bashu Ancient Culture Centre,
My husband is very interested in the Chinese collectibles, eg., vases, ornaments, paintings, etc... Does Bashu Ancient Culture Centre offers anything to sell? Please help.
Regards,
Lillie
