Regional Data and School Improvement Coordinator
China International Schools

Planning for Growth
• Develop and manage the strategic plans for the region, analyse and report on progress against targets
• Working with the Head of Operational Excellence and the Regional Team members to develop functional specific balanced scorecards to support the effectiveness of the schools in meeting their targets
• Manage and develop business-related KPIs in order to facilitate analysis and reporting of performance against targets, plans, budgets, and strategic objectives
• Develop weekly, monthly and annual performance reports for the Regional Team, schools and the Central Team as required.
• Responsible for leading special projects as determined for the Region
• Lead Regional events and activities for schools across the region

Strategy Implementation
• Collaborate across the Region with senior leadership for the successful implementation of strategic initiatives
• Align the strategies of the Regional Team functions with school functions to create focus in achieving targets on pupil numbers, budget generation, IT implementation and HR responsibilities.
• Lead Regional Team meetings focused on operational effectiveness.
• Ensure that special projects have appropriate resources for development, and are ultimately delivered on time and on budget
• Identify and unlock synergies by ensuring alignment across the Region through the schools and functions to ensure that individual outcomes are linked to each other and to the corporate strategy

Risk Management
• Work with school leadership teams and Regional Team members to identify business risks and opportunities for growth
• Identify business risks, develop alternative scenarios for the mitigation of possible risks and provide recommendations for the management of these scenarios
• Review procurement strategy to ensure VfM principles are rigorously applied

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
• Educated to Degree level
• Experience in project management
• Native speaker of English

Knowledge
In-depth knowledge and understanding of:
• Nord Anglia Education’s vision, mission, values and strategy
• Premium Schools business model
• Financial, data analysis and management processes
• Evaluation of business projects against measures of efficiency, effectiveness and quality

Experience
• Experience of working with Premium Schools
• Experience of achieving results by working with senior leaders of organisations not under your direct control
• Effective working with teachers and school leaders
• Project management of multiple projects

Skills
• Ability to plan priorities and deliver against agreed service levels
• High level interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly gain the respect of many stakeholders of projects
• Ability to operate at strategic and operational level
• High level of commercial awareness
• Good IT skills, particularly spreadsheets and accountancy packages
