Requirements and Qualifications:
Minimum BA degree in education or relevant subject area
Formal school teaching certification
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant teaching experience, ideally with some international experience
Commitment to the holistic education of young people
Care, patience, perseverance and positivity
Relevant knowledge and understanding of subject/curriculum area and related pedagogy
Appropriate personal literacy
Familiarity with computer programs including Microsoft Office and data management systems
Good people skills and the ability to work as part of a number of teams
Good communication skills
Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum and/ or IGCSE and A level programs is desirable
The ability to teach more than one Primary Grade level or Secondary subject area is desirable
Experience of working with EAL learners is desirable
The ability to offer specific extra-curricular skills and willingness to go on internal and overseas trips as requested is desirable
