Professional Responsibilities (Job Description)

Responsibilities include:
• Teaching:
MS&DP Music with a total of 20-24 teaching hours per week.
• Lead the development of the International Division Music Department
o Curriculum Design and Merging
o Oversee the purchasing of music supplies and equipment
o Inspect and ensure proper maintenance of music supplies and equipment.
o Develop relationships between our school and the larger music community.
• Create musical performance opportunities for students of all grade levels throughout
the year.
• Attend meetings with the principal, other team leaders, team members, parents, and
students. Follow up with communication
• Deal with curricular matters at the team and high school level.
• Communicate with university counselor about needs of the team and specific students
• Organize musical field trips or activities.
• Communicate team concerns to parents and/or administration
• Act as liaison between the team and the Principal.
• Monitor team expenditures throughout the school year
• Provide coverage for absent teachers as directed by the high school principal
• Demonstrate presence in hallways
• Supervise at least one ASA on a weekly basis
