About the school
Our client school is an international nursery, kindergarten and Play-and-Learn Center that caters for children from 0-6 years old. It aims to provide an immersive English learning environment, physical, social and emotional learning and a safe space for children a solid foundation in early childhood. Adapting the British EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stages) standards and using the UK IEYC curriculum framework we ensure a holistic approach to our learning community. Aligned with the Chinese Statements on Early Years education, our curriculum demonstrates the best practices of western pedagogies and philosophies. Children grow academically and also learn to express their ideas and interests: laying the foundation a lifelong love for learning.
The school endeavors to build an eco-system for learning which includes a Play-and-Learn Center, nursery, K-12, professional education, learning institutions and extended business units for teacher training and parenting workshops.
The site is located in a beautiful Xiangfu cutural park which is opposite of provincial government of the city Changsha, which is the capital city of Hunan Province. Changsha is a highly developed city that offers a multitude of attractions and unique traditions to experience. Whether you are interested in history, nature, shopping or ethnic food, Changsha has something to offer.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver well-planned, engaging and creative learning experiences for their class(es.)
Ensure student progress is accurately monitored and recorded.
Deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for all students in their care.
Value the home-school partnership and engage with parents.
Ensure excellent pastoral care.
Contribute to the co-curricular program and whole-school activities in a committed and enthusiastic manner.
Maintain high standards of professionalism.
Be prepared to go the “extra mile.”
Requirements:
1. Current, valid state teaching certification; or a Bachelor and /or Master in Education (early childhood degree preferred but not required.)
2. Candidates who are experienced teachers with no such degree or credential mentioned above must complete a TEFL/TESOL certificate before visa application and have two years teaching experience in a similar role.
3. Currently in China holding a Z teaching visa and available this August
