1.Qualification
Bachelor's degree in education and minimum of master's degree in education administration is generally required. Minimum qualification should be a Graduate Degree from a recognized university.
Government issued teaching license is recommended.
At least five years of appropriate teaching experience in IGCSE/A-LEVELpreferred
At least two years excellent administrative experience as a Principal, Vice Principal, or Central Office Administrator, verified by the appropriate supervisory official.
Bilingual and bicultural skills and abilities are highly desirable.
Familiar with the Cambridge Academic Programs and Examinations.

3. Working hours and locations
This job requires five days/40 hours of work per week, to be arranged by the board of directors, including an average of 10-14 academic teaching hours and 30 office hours per week. It is possible to work more than 40 hours some weeks and others less.
4. Main Responsibilities
I. Curriculum:
A. Conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.
B. Oversees publication of annual academic catalog, which describes courses to be offered the following school year.
C. Establishes the annual schedule for instructional programs, ensuring sequential learning experiences for students consistent with the school’s philosophy, mission statement and instructional goals.
D. Supervises the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and
observing classes (teaching, as duties allow) on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on
learning and child growth and development.
E. Coordinates departmental book orders.
F. Supervises and supports new academic offerings.
II. Teacher Hiring/Training and Evaluation:
A. Participate in interviews and head of department(HOD) selection process.
B. Develops method and schedule for observation and evaluation of teachers.
C. Observes and evaluates classroom teachers every 6 months.
D. Keep the Board advised of employees not meeting their contractual agreement.
E. Conducts new teacher training on gradebook, attendance, and discipline procedures.
F. Schedules substitutes.
III. Counseling:
A. Meets weekly with the senior management team consisting of the Vice Principal, HOA, HOD to plan weekly school business and problem-solve as needed.
B. Manages the academic dishonesty/integrity process, including communication among teachers, parents, counselors, and students.
C. Conduct meetings, as necessary, for the proper functioning of the school: monthly staff meetings.
IV. Scheduling:
A. Evaluate the suitability of the school schedule on a regular basis; coordinate the revision of the school schedule when necessary
B. Balances student and teacher schedules.
C. Plans and manages student registration each September.
D. Coordinate examination process and proctoring schedules
E. Oversees final examinations each semester, including distribution and oversight of exams.
F. Oversees end-of-year assemblies and graduation.
V. Student Affairs:
A. Oversees student progress toward graduation.
B. Works with subject teachers to gather and distribute grade reports.
C. Arranges other appropriate avenues of communication among students, parents, teachers, and administrators to ensure students’ academic success.
D. Works with teachers to identify students in need of academic support, including those on academic probation.
E. Creates programs to help struggling students, including progress reports, study halls, and supporting classes.
F. Enforce Academic Honesty Policy
G. Administers and reports results of standardized tests, including CIPP, Checkpoint, IGCSE and A-LEVEL.
H. Review and revise the school discipline and uniform code as needed
I. Update Student Handbook and Student Planner annually
J. Notify immediately the Board, and appropriate personnel and agencies when there is evidence of substance abuse, child abuse, child neglect, severe medical or social conditions, potential suicide or students appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances.
VI. School Events Planning
A.Recommends topics for and schedule student assemblies and activities.
B.Plans for school activity days like Annual Sports Day, Science Exhibition etc.
VII. Other Areas of Responsibility:
A. Certify transcripts and other official school documents.
B. Oversees all academic budgets.
C. Complete in a timely fashion all records and reports as requested by the Board.
Maintain accurate attendance records.
D. Communicate with the Board regularly about the needs, successes and general
operation of the school.
E. Attend required committee meetings (e.g.: fund-raising, curriculum, etc.) and extra school sponsored events.
