We are a high school for ESL Chinese high school students. The first year you will just teach grade 10; English, math to prepare students for the SAT test, and basic computing skills (MS office).
Salary is after tax and dependent on the amount of office hours you choose to take (4-8 per week).
Benefits:
• 11-month teaching contract
• Medical insurance (American International Assurance Co.) will be provided.
• 1-month’s salary (based on teaching hours) as a re-signing bonus for teachers who teach more than one year.
• A longevity bonus for teachers who teach more than three years.
• All government holidays are paid as well as four weeks of paid vacation (winter holiday).
Teaching Duties:
• Lead students to achieve excellent academic outcomes.
• Teach students the subjects arranged by the school.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
• Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues regarding student progress and student behavior concerns.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, assessments and assignments and maintain proper student records in the Student Information System (SIS). (Training will be provided.)
• Coordinate with the Director of Studies to complete internal and external moderation of grades.
• Assign, receive, and grade students’ assessments on the Learning Management System.
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
• Provide appropriate oral and written feedback on students’ work.
• Support recruitment operations as needed and requested.
Teaching Qualifications:
Competitive candidates will have:
• (Minimum) > 2-years teaching experience
• (Minimum) A bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject-area.
• (Minimum) TEFL/TESL Certificate
• (Preferred) Teaching certification
Other candidates will also be considered based on an interview as well as the candidate’s CV and demo class performance.
