Teaching English in Cixi China – 2 hours from Shanghai
13,000 -18,000 RMB/month plus free accommodation, low working hours
Cixi City, China – Canadian Owned Meijia English Training School is hiring English teachers for a one year, renewable contract. Committed, professional and enthusiastic teachers are encouraged to join this progressive school.
Work hours:
• Max 20 classroom hours with total 35 hours (including office hours) per week/5 days from September to June
• Max 25 classroom hours with total 40 hours (including office hours) per week/5 days from July to August
Student Age:
• The majority of the students range from SK to Grade 9, however, teachers are required to teach all ages if there is a demand
Benefits :
• 13,000 – 18,000 RMB monthly salary (based on qualifications and experience)
• Free accommodations (suite with bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen)
• 2 weeks paid holidays (1 weeks during Christmas, one week during Chinese New Year)
• Flight ticket reimbursement of up to 8,000 RMB upon completion of the contract

Qualifications:
• Must be native English speaker from USA or Canada
• Minimum requirement: Bachelor’s degree
• TEFL/TESOL or Teacher’s college degree is preferred
• ESL, ECE, camp counselling, and childcare experience is an advantage
• Must have an outgoing personality with a passion for inspiring students to learn
• Confident and able to control the classes
• Capable of playing musical instruments (guitar preferred) and or singing/dancing is preferred.

    Cixi City is located just across the bay from Shanghai, and is situated between Hangzhou and Ningbo. Accommodations are within walking distance and the inviting neighbourhood includes numerous local and foreign cuisine options.
    The teaching package is for one year. Meijia English Training School ensures that students and teachers are well cared for, thus an excellent salary is offered.
    Teaching hours: Maximum of 35 hours per week/5 days per week. This includes substantial preparation time. Overtime pay for additional hours/days worked. The school is open 7 days/week; however, teachers are only expected to work 5 out of 7 days.
