One man in Shanghai who was sick of being stuck in traffic has come up with an ingenious solution, by building a tiny car to zip through waiting vehicles.
60 year old Xu Zhiyun took over two years to build his car, which is 60 cm long, 35 cm wide and 40 cm high. It may look like a children’s toy but it’s fully equipped with a gas-powered engine, lights, brakes, transmission and even a sound system which can store up to 500 songs.
Although netizens have been praising his scope of vision, his project has drawn some concerned comments particularly from foreign observers;
A user named villageidiot said: “Xu Zhiyan 60 ain’t gonna make 61 if he keeps riding that around the city...” whilst klurerjr said: “...This thing is so low to the ground I’d be afraid of getting run over...”
Several other users also wondered why Xu didn’t just invest his time and money into buying a moped.

Because then he would lose face. So much better to get killed by driving a car that looks like a kid's toy around Shanghai.
