Job Description
A well-known American school in Shanghai is looking to hire a Seconday English Literature Teacher Teacher for August,2023 start. They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of teaching experience. They prefer the candidates to have an experience with US AP curriculum.

1.Understand and have experience in using backwards design curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
2.Have experience and demonstrated success in teaching world literature and American literature in a variety of literary genres.
3.Demonstrated success as an enthusiastic teacher who uses a student-centered approach to learning and differentiated teaching strategies to engage all students in active learning

The school is an American high school with a fully American curriculum, based on Common Core Standards, 21st Century Learning Standards, and Next Generation Science Standards. All of our students graduate with only an American diploma, and 100% of our graduates in previous years are now studying overseas in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and South Korea. Many are studying in top 20 and top 50 universities in the US.

Job Requirements
1.Undergraduate degree in literature or humanities; graduate degree in literature or humanities (preferred, but not required).
2.Teaching certificate from US State preferred but not required.
3.Two years of demonstrated successful experience as a teacher.
4.Strong recommendations from previous supervisors
