GEC is a highly modern training/education facility located in the heart of Chongqing’s central business district just a minutes’ walk from exit 4 of Dajuyuan (大剧院) Subway station. Our facility includes a relaxing lounge area, more than one bean-to-cup coffee machine (for those Monday mornings), along with friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere. Our offices and classrooms are highly spacious and state of the art. The senior management team are internationally educated originating from Taiwan, the UK and the Middle East. We are looking for passionate teachers with expertise in various subject areas to assist us in launching our International Foundation Program in partnership with a UK private school based in London. Responsibilities:

1. Teach modules in one or 2 of the following subjects at high school level (15-18): Maths, ICT, IELTS.

2. Prepare and deliver lessons for students undertaking the International Foundation Program / following the outlined syllabus and course books (maximum of 20 teaching hours per week – office hours will be flexible for our teaching staff),

3. Assist with the development of teaching materials,

4. Assess students’ progress frequently and grade students based on their ability,

5. Provide feedback/reports on students each semester.

Requirements:

Essential:

* BA degree or advanced degree or equivalent in the relevant named subject,
* CELTA, TEFL, TESOL or equivalent qualification or alternatively 2 years relevant work experience,
* Native speakers from The UK, The USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland (for visa reasons)
* Able to pass a Criminal Background Check and standard health check
* Experience teaching High school-aged students,


Desirable:

* Knowledge of IGCSE, or A-level syllabuses in subjects, i.e., physics, maths, business, or IT,
* Experience teaching High school-aged students.
