Though Tianjin Great Mosque, having been built during the Qing Dynasty, does not enjoy the extended history of many of China's mosques, it has become a nationally renowned landmark during the last several centuries. Today, an estimated 1000-plus Muslims come from in and around the city to worship here each week.
