Contract Status: This full-time post will initially be offered on a fixed term contract with Huamao International School for a period of two years starting from August 2021. This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement.

Salary & Benefits: Salary will be within the range of CNY190,000 - CNY310,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition, an attractive package including housing allowance, airfare allowance, bonus, settling-in allowance, relocation allowance and a worldwide health insurance will be provided for international appointments.

School background:

Ningbo Huamao International School originated as an international department of Huamao Foreign Language School and grew into the present school of 900 students between 2006 and 2020. Huamao Foreign Language School was established in 1998 by Huamao Group at a cost of 650 million yuan. The school was founded in center Yinzhou and is in the middle of the new Central Business District. It is found, conveniently, one block from Wanda Plaza and located next to Yinzhou Park and Ningbo Museum. A short distance away is the University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus (UNNC). NBHIS, the international school on the beautiful 45-hectare Huamao campus, houses a bilingual Pre-school, the International Baccalaureate Primary Years program (PYP), a Middle School and the IB Diploma Program (DP) for senior students, in addition to a Sino-Canadian, a Sino-American and an HSK programme. Huamao is a large boarding school with around 4,500 students and 500 teachers. The school has developed to become a nationally recognized, advanced private school with numerous awards.

Main job duties and responsibilities:
Teach basic English skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Compose lesson plans in order to successfully incorporate the full duration of each lesson.
Execute lessons efficiently using different styles of teaching depending on the content.
Engage students to ensure a lively classroom atmosphere.
Instruct students about the structure and content of the English language.
Teach students the spelling of words, and their meanings.
Emphasize the rules of composition, grammar and sentence construction.
Teach students the correct pronunciation of words.

Job requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above of Early Year Education major.
Two years or above relevant teaching experience.
Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
The ability to compile lesson plans efficiently.
The ability to execute lessons with meaning, in a fun, and engaging manner.
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills;
The ability to work well independently as well as with students, parents and staff members;
