You may remember the story of Zheng Li and her ‘laowai’ conspirator, but if you don’t, here is a little recap: Zheng Li, a smart savvy woman who loved to gamble, and Robert, who claimed to be the descendent of the Rogers of Germany, managed to swindle 360 million RMB from their very wealthy circle of friends.
On December 30 they were sentenced for the crimes of fraud and forging identity cards. They won’t be able to spend frivolously for some time, unless its on a pack of smokes in prison. Zheng Li has been sentenced to life imprisonment, and all her personal property has been confiscated. Robert has been sentenced to eight years, given a fine of 1,2 Million RMB and will be deported upon completion of sentence. Case closed!

I hope I am wrong, but if you look at some of the U.S. reels of pre-WWII about the Japanese-Chinese War, the Japanese were demonized. These stories remind me of that era right before fighting started. Seems, that is why boob and child touching non-Chinese have to be made news for Chinese to see what the Middle Kingdom will be up against. There is a reason for these incidents to be made news.

Following up with the 'show me your boobs' video..I'm surprised they didn't show a 're-enactment' of him punching, kicking, and robbing money from Chinese people sitting innocently on a bench.

Interesting. The original story doesn't use the term "laowai". Either way, another exampled of business as usual in China. Racist news is racist. On to next story stoking xenophobia with sensationalist titles and ethnic slurs.

Yeah, they are so unoriginal! They are trying to imitate white people's news by using racist and xenophobic tones.

"white people's news" - dumbass. Would that be former Soviet Russian, capitalist American, or socialist European brand of racist propaganda? Or perhaps the other-white-people-hating muslim or jewish news? Yup, it's all one and the same, and it all gives the subtle message of the racial superiority of our kin. I'm especially proud when I read about indigenous child molesters and hate crimes. We sure will have ONE unified, glorious future openly promoting our racial supremacy! Won't we, DUMBASS? But you're right: China is copying the nationalistic narrative used in western newsmedia. From the NINETEEN-effing-TWENTIES!!! And we all know what happened after that...

www.echinacities.com/news/Shanghai-Woman-and-Laowai-Swindle-360-Million-RMB Right, and from all the complaints about the cultural insensitivity of using the term laowai in an English article, the editors have learned... *drumroll*.... to use QUOTATION MARKS! Everything's okay now. Right, my fellow 'laowai'?

LoL... they call him a "laowai" like he is meaningless... Yet his sentence is much less than his Chinese partner. Talk and rant all you want but action is action.
