A luxurious French mansion owned by disgraced politician Bo Xilai is now up for sale at an asking price of 6.95 million euros, Reuters reports.

Bo was highly popular and tipped for a top post in government but his political career came crashing down when his wife was arrested for the murder of British businessman Neil Heywood. Bo then stood trial himself on charges of corruption and abuse of power.

The multi-million dollar villa, situated near Cannes, played a big role in his corruption trial last summer.
The villa was reportedly confiscated by the government but details of the seller are still murky.
