5.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Guizhou: No Casualties Reported

A 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Jinhe, Guizhou today at 9:47 am. The earthquake had a focal depth of 7 km. A number of houses in surrounding villages were damaged as the earthquake caused tiles to fall and windows to break. There were no casualties, and property damage was minimal. There were also no livestock killed or damages to communications, electricity or transportation in the area.
