A flight leaving from Phuket, Thailand headed for Wuhan was delayed by an hour on February 19 when a group of Chinese nationals partook in an all out brawl before takeoff. The fight started over some confusion about seating arrangements and escalated quickly into a rather violent fight.
The police arrived on scene, expelled the 15 people responsible, all Chinese citizens, and the plane left for China without them. Chinese tourists are already considered as unruly and sometimes as unwelcome guests in countries where they haven’t been on their best behavior.

That's what happen when there is no respect into a country like China. Chinese people should learn how to behave everywhere like Japanese people.

people with the mind set of the chinese always hate people that are better than them. so it stands to reason all chinese hate japanese people..

So far from not surprised. The Chinese people I watched in Phuket when I was there over the summer even made my Chinese wife upset that they represent her country.

I have to take many internal flights in China for work. Most of the passengers buy a cart load of duty-free. As you know, the amount of space in the over-head locker is limited: enough for 1 piece of hand-luggage per passenger, so the initial jostling seems to be for this limited space, especially above/near their seats. Then there is the 'control' of the arm-rests. I have sat in the middle seat with locals either side, both of them pushing into my ever decreasing space. It is a battle of wills for all !

I just don't get it. I always see the Chinese desperate to get on and pushing their way onto trains and planes, but I still don't see why with planes. Everyone has a seat on a plane. No one will be standing. I'm guessing they obviously wanted to sit together in this instance, but how the hell does that escalate to a full on fight. Don't worry about things like this China, you've been to space so you're obviously an advance race, right?

I know China is proud to be an ancient civilization and all that, but does that preclude updating basic manners to modern levels? You can't act all caveman-like in a confined space like an airplane.

But the interior of a plane is cave-like... Maybe it triggered their ancient caveman impulses. And by ancient caveman impulses I mean the way they normally behave, everywhere, all the time.

I had trouble with Chinese people taking my seat on the train. Fortunately there was another seat available. They did not even look at me when I told them they were in my seat, so I can imagine how this situation started.
