We're looking for a short term full-time English teacher for one of our partner public schools, Shishi Middle School. Shishi Middle School, located in the eastern of Chengdu, is one of the reputable public schools in Sichuan province. It has two different campuses based in Chenghua district, Chengdu, with over 2500 students. The school faculty numbers 220 professionals, including 20 top academic teachers and 87 senior teachers. This position is to start from March 1, 2018. Duration: March 1 to June 30, 2018.
Teacher is expected to design lesson plans with teaching materials provided by the school. Target students are aged from 13-14, Grade 7.
Workload: no more than 20 hours of teaching per week; attend staff meetings occasionally. We offer 12-15K RMB per month(including benefits) and provide work visa sponsorship, application assistance etc.
Job Responsibilities:
* Responsible for teaching English at two different campuses of Shishi Middle School and shows written evidence of preparation upon request of supervisor(s)
* Assist with school's activities and provide necessary help or give suggestions in improving students' English related performances and competitions
* Responsible for classroom management, encouraging, and supporting the use of ICT in lessons
* Maintains order and discipline in the classroom conducive to effective learning and takes all necessary safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities
Qualifications:
* Native English speaker with excellent academic literacy in English literature, and excellent verbal and written English language skills.
* Bachelor’s degree
* Teacher Certification/ Qualification
* Evidence of competence in ICT skills.
* Ability to infuse technology into curriculum
* An effective teaching practitioner with evidence of good classroom practice.
* Strong working knowledge of an international curriculum.
* A clear focus on standards to raise achievement.
* Committed to protecting and safeguarding children.
* Maintains energy, enthusiasm, teamwork, and a sense of humor
