Candidates sought for highly competitive expat teaching position at a reputable international department of leading high school in downtown Wuhan.

• Two years previous work experience required, preferably in education,
• Teaching certificate preferred,
• Degree in English or Education preferred,
• Familiarity with American high school system, overseas university admissions, and College Board exams is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
An estimated 8-10 40-min periods arranged for self-designed Language Arts demonstrations with Middle School partner schools;
Other 10-16 periods to be arranged for American Literature, Language Arts, Narrative/Creative Writing, or English for Academic Purposes;

- Coordinate the course and exams with curriculum coordinators;
- Assigning and promptly marking papers and assessments, while systematically monitoring student progress;
- In accordance with learning objectives, provides extra help and guidance to students who are struggling with content;
- Actively participating in academic research and training sessions;
- Attend marketing and promotional teaching events on occasional basis as required;

Possibility of teaching AP, IGSCE-level, and Visual and Performing Arts elective courses available;

All English instructors have official CELTA and/or TESOL certifications. The international curriculum students and full-time faculty ratio is 5:1, with the average class size being 18 students.
