Hi everyone!

We are looking to add to our team of foreign teachers in Taiyuan City.

Our students range from 3-12 years old and you will have a maximum of 25 teaching hours per week. However, rarely will you even reach 20 teaching hours per week.

The cost of living in Taiyuan is very cheap. The average monthly salary here is around 2000CNY. To give you an idea of the money you could potentially save here compared to major cities!

Working hours (including office hours)

MONDAY TUESDAY DAYS OFF
WED,THURS,FRI 4:00-8:30
SATURDAY SUNDAY 8:30 - 12:30 THEN 2:00 - 6:30

These are awesome working hours, which include your office hours, which a lot of schools wont include in the job description!

This also leaves a huge amount of free time to either travel each week or find extra part time to really boost your salary. Maybe another school in the city will pay you 9000, but you wont have these hours and wont have time to make more money on the side.

Most of our teachers after their first year end up earning around 13-15k once they get settled.

Shared accomodation (2 bedroom apartment, 2 people) is provided by the school. School pay the rent and you pay bills such as electric, water, heating. and management fees.

If you want to live alone, we can give you an allowance per month which you can then add a bit of your own money on top to find a place you really like. Most people just opt for the shared apartments but its your choice!

It's so important in our school that you can make the kids enjoy the class and want to be here. We are the most expensive trainin school in the city so we are expected to be that bit better than the rest! If you can be jolly and energetic, that's half the job done already!

Be responsbile.

If you are sick, tell your Chinese teacher or a member of management you wont be coming in. Don't leave the kids and parents waiting outisde of the class expecting you to arrive. That's a bit mean!

Like kids!

If you like kids, that's going to make the job a lot easier and much more enjoyable for you.

My preffered method of communication is the APP WeChat. If you can, download it onto your phone! Its like a Chinese version of Whatsapp and everyone in China uses it.
