English Teachers Wanted at Badong No. 1 High School, Hubei Province, China

Two English teacher positions are available from March 1, 2017 to Dec 31, 2017 at Badong No. 1 High School , Hubei Province, where the famous Three Gorges Dam is located. The positions are renewable, and a shorter term of a semester or 3 months is negotiable. The commencement and end dates are also negotiable.

The successful candidates are expected to teach about 15 teaching hours per week during the academic semesters. Other benefits include:
* Monthly salary of RMB5,500+ depending on the qualifications and experience (the local salary level is about RMB2,000);
* international travel allowance of up to US$1,500;
* paid summer vacation of about 6 weeks (for an appointment of two semesters);
* summer vacation travel allowance of RMB2,000 (for an appointment of two semesters);
* fully-furnished 5-star western-style luxury accommodation for free with river view on campus (worth over RMB2,500 per month);
* included utilities (gas, electricity, water, Internet) of up to RMB350 per month (our foreign teachers have never paid utilities so far); and
* life accident insurance.

General Criteria: From the working permit and visa requirements, ideal candidates are a native English speaker with a degree in any areas and TESOL TEFL qualification.

    The school is located in Badong County, one of the most attractive travel destinations in China. Badong is surrounding by mountains, and thus is clean and clear with comfortable climate. It is in the well-known Three Gorges area, and the Three Gorges Dam, which is the biggest Dam project in the world, is nearby. Yangtze rive flows from Badong and shows magnificent views along the river. Sidu River Bridge, the tallest bridge in the world and over 50m higher than the second tallest bridge, is within Badong County.

    To the west of Badong is Chongqing, a big city in West China. To the east of Badong are Yichang, Wuhan, Shanghai and other cities. Freeway and express trains are easily accessible in Badong. There are also two airports nearby: Enshi and Yichang, both are simply 2 hours away from Badong.

    The principal of the school is Mr Fagang SONG, who is a well-recognized Geography teacher.
