Looking for an adventure? Teach basic English, in addition to some blended learning science classes, in a small border town in Yunnan Province. This is a great job opportunity for someone looking to gain some experience and make a positive change in students' lives!

The job:
-20 hours teaching hours per week (and 1 night study, as well as a meeting)
-Pay for 20 hours/week: 12500元 / month
-Paid holidays: Chinese holidays, national week (1 week), Spring Festival (3 weeks)
-11 month contract (July 11 – June 3). If you resign, summer holiday is paid.
-No office hours
-Bonuses are paid at the end of each trimester up to 1000/month (based on performance)
-Course plans and options are provided, and some space for creativity is also given.
-You will be trained and meet with teachers from other cities teaching your subject before you begin.
-Start date: ASAP! The school will train you and get help you get settled this summer, and classes will begin July 18th. Accommodation for training in Kunming will be provided.

The school:
We are a small school which is preparing students to attend a larger high school in Kunming. Students have some great opportunities to learn English in a more concentrated environment because of our size. You will be preparing students to learn GAC (Global Academic Certificate) courses, which they will then use to apply to universities in the USA, Canada, Australia, England, and Singapore.

The city:
Ruili is a small city on the border with Myanmar. The people are varied, the language is easier to understand than most areas, and the culture is very different from most of China. This is a relaxed city with a comparatively slow pace of life and interesting cultural events, and there are many ethnic minorities and Burmese people who live here. The city itself, despite having a population of around 200,000, is still very modern, with a lot of new buildings and things to do, such as foreign restaurants, malls, movie theaters, and parks. This is a great outdoor city as well, with a lot of blue sky and fresh air, and tons of small bike-able day trips. The temperature here is quite comfortable in the winter.

You:
-Meet visa requirements (native speaker, degree, a TEFL, 2 years' experience)
-Are a positive, self-motivated teacher who is passionate about their job
-Are interested in small town life
