Core responsibility
Accordingtoneed,toteacha group of 17 students aged 14-16 in a way that will enable them to gain language knowledge and skills needed for Pre-IBDP programme which is taught in English.

Position demands
The candidate must a native speaker of English holding anappropriate qualification and teaching certification. A minimum oftwoyears teaching experienceina reputableinstitutionispreferred.ExperiencewithteachingChinese studentswillbeanasset.Dedication tothejob,subject‐specific expertise,student‐centeredteachingapproaches,theabilitytoapplydifferentiationinthe classroom, effective classroom management as well as good relations with students, staff and parents are the qualitiessought.

Working relationships
• Reporting to and working with the Directors on all matters concerningthe teaching and development ofthe subject, and on matters of pastoral careandtotheExecutive Director onschoolpolicyissues/ contractsandemployment,andbudgets.
• Cooperatingwithothermembersofthefaculty,with regard tothedevelopmentofacademic planning, and goodpractices; liaisingwithothermembersofstafftomanagetheworkof thestudents.
• Fulfillingotherpastoralandco‐curricularresponsibilitiesasassigned.

Main Responsibilities
The teacher is required to:
 develop lesson plans that facilitate active learning experiences of students in thecourses assigned;
 drawupworkschemes forthedeliveryofrelevantsyllabi;
 supervise/lead CAS at least 5 activities per year, and to assist the CAS Coordinator with activities as required;
 setandmarkbothclassworkandinternalexaminations(includingAIC EntranceExamsasappropriate);
 maintainarecordofgradesandcompletereportsbytheduedates;
 feedbackappropriatelyandregularlytostudents;
 providestudentswithadditionalguidanceand/orworkaccordingtotheirneeds;
 attendpunctuallyallStaff, Faculty and Departmentalmeetings;
 producelistsofbooksandequipmentrequiredfortheteachingofthesubject;
 compileafullsetofemergencylessonsforusebyacoverteacher;
 assist students with their homework or organize study-related activities in the assigned evenings on a
 rotational basis as a full time teacher (evening activities take placefour times a week between
 19:00-21:00);
 follow AIC IT Acceptable User Policy (AUP);
 liaise with other staff to maintain a good boarding environment; maintainanatmospherewhich isconducivetolearninginandoutoftheclassroom;
 participateinandsuperviseco‐curricularactivities,communityserviceandschoolfunctions
 performanyotherdutiesasmayberequiredbytheExecutive Director,forthebenefitoftheSchool;
 uphold and implementthe Mission, Vision, Goals and Core Values ofthe Schoolatalltimes.
