Job Description:
European Union Education Foundation (CHEER) together with World Leading Schools Association (WLSA) is currently looking for subject teachers to deliver 6th Grade courses for the three-year high school international programs(Grade 10-12) in Shanghai. Teachers start work from late August 2014 until July 2015. CHEER Foundation, with its headquarters in Amsterdam and two subsidiaries in Shanghai and Beijing, is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote education exchange and cooperation between China and Europe as well as the rest of the world.
Requirements:
• 1) Good command of English, native English speaker is preferable
• 2) A four-year bachelor's degree or above.
• 3) At lease one-year teaching experience in relevant subjects
• 4) Excellent communication skills and great personality
• 5) Overseas learning or working experience is a plus
• 6) Initial training and orientation is required before teaching
Job Description:
• 1) Teaching English, Science and Math to Chinese Grade 6th students enrolled in our American style international program in Pudong New District, Shanghai.
• 2) Assigning appropriate homework and correcting homework on time
• 3) Developing and using suitable supplementary materials as necessary
• 4) Using audio / video materials in classes as necessary
• 5) Supervising students and monitoring student's learning progress
• 6) Adjusting and differentiating instruction to meet the learning needs of students
• 7) Preparing and marking examinations
• 9) Participating in related teaching activities organized by CHEER and WLSA.
Benefits:
The salary is to be negotiated and competitive based on education background, teaching and administrative experience, workload etc. Work permit will be provided upon request.
