In a zoo safari experience that got a little too close for comfort, over 400 people were trapped in a wild animal enclosure in a Shanghai zoo yesterday after an electrical malfunction.
More than 10 tourist buses were trapped the wild animal enclosure when a power failure caused the electronically controlled doors to lock shut. The tourists were trapped in the enclosure for about 45 minutes. The buses usually spend about a half an hour driving through the area.
The power was soon restored and the zoo resumed its usual activity. The zoo has launched an investigation to find the reason for the sudden power failure.
Netizens called the situation a real-life, “Jurassic Park.”

By the time they left, lunch time was over and there was no longer any wild life in the park.
